Lynette Montoya Joins the Advisory Council of the Hispanic Wealth Project

The Hispanic Wealth Project™ (HWP), a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization devoted to empowering Hispanic communities through financial education and wealth creation, proudly announces the appointment of Lynette Montoya to its Advisory Council. Ms. Montoya's extensive expertise and unwavering commitment to Latino entrepreneurship make her a valuable addition to the HWP council.

Lynette Montoya currently serves as the President & CEO of the Latino Hotel Association (LHA), a role she has held since 2015. Throughout her career, she has focused on providing Latino entrepreneurs with invaluable industry resources, education, training, and networking opportunities, to foster wealth through hotel ownership and investment.

Ms. Montoya's involvement in the hotel industry spans over 25 years. She has excelled as a hotel broker, facilitating property transactions across the United States. Her passion for serving the Hispanic community is evident from her founding of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she also served as the founding executive director. Her leadership extends to serving on the board of Architecture 2030, a think tank addressing climate change through design.

Her tenure as the Director of Economic Development for the City of Santa Fe marked significant achievements, including the development and construction of a new convention center. As the President of LHA, Montoya played a pivotal role in forging a strategic partnership with the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), aimed at enhancing opportunities for Latino entrepreneurs.

In addition to her professional achievements, Lynette Montoya dedicates time to various causes. She serves on the Advisory Council of the California State University Hospitality and Tourism Management Education Alliance and volunteers in her community, supporting charities for the homeless, battered women, and other vulnerable populations. Her commitment to diversity and inclusion is further demonstrated through her role with the Board of Directors of Tourism Diversity Matters (TDM), and her previous role with the AHED Alliance for Hospitality Equity and Diversity, an FIU endeavor now operating out of NYU.

Sara Rodriguez, Chair of the Hispanic Wealth Project, expressed her enthusiasm for Montoya's appointment, stating, "We are honored to welcome Lynette Montoya to our council. Her profound dedication to Latino entrepreneurs and her vast industry experience aligns perfectly with our mission to drive financial prosperity within Hispanic communities. We are confident that Lynette will bring significant contributions to our initiatives."

"The road to success isn’t one-way. I want Latinos and Latinas to experience the thrill of stepping out of their comfort zones and embrace hotel investment and ownership,” Montoya said. "We are ready for Latinos to collaborate and make hotel deals a reality. LHA’s mission is to foster synergy and momentum to achieve this. Let’s build wealth for our families and communities by sharing the knowledge to make it happen."
