How Blanca Sepulveda Reflects the Spirit of a NAHREP Certified Trainer

In a time when financial literacy is more vital than ever for Latino families striving to build generational wealth, Blanca Sepulveda stands out not just for her expertise—but for her deep sense of purpose. Recently named NAHREP 10 Certified Trainer of the Month, Blanca’s work is a powerful reminder of what it means to lead with intention, cultural relevance, and an unwavering commitment to community empowerment.

As the founder of Transformation Financial LLC, Blanca has built her business around the principles that define the NAHREP 10: financial education, entrepreneurial drive, and service. But what truly sets her apart is the consistency with which she’s delivered workshops and financial literacy sessions that go far beyond surface-level guidance. Her sessions are intimate, practical, and often life-changing—especially for women, immigrants, and families navigating the complexities of budgeting, saving, and long-term planning.

Being a NAHREP Certified Trainer isn’t just about delivering curriculum. It’s about being a cultural translator—someone who understands the lived realities of the community and meets them where they are. Blanca does just that. Whether she’s breaking down credit scores in plain terms or helping a widow navigate retirement funds, her impact stems from a blend of technical skill and emotional intelligence.

This recognition comes at a pivotal moment for Latino wealth-building in the U.S. According to NAHREP’s State of Homeownership Report, Latinos are projected to account for 70% of new homeowners over the next 20 years. Yet barriers persist—from a lack of financial knowledge to limited access to trusted advisors. Trainers like Blanca are essential to closing that gap. Her work represents a grassroots model for change—one that’s scalable, trustworthy, and rooted in lived experience.

Blanca’s journey is also a testament to resilience. Her career began in banking and includes two decades at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. But it’s her decision to leave the corporate world and launch her own firm that best defines her path: she saw a need in her community and stepped up to fill it. Today, she continues to empower families with practical tools, personalized consultations, and most of all, hope.

We spoke with Blanca to learn more about what drives her work and asked her to reflect on what it truly means to make a lasting impact as a NAHREP 10 Certified Trainer.

What do you believe distinguishes a great NAHREP 10 Certified Trainer from a good one, and how do you strive to embody that difference in your work?

Blanca: A great NAHREP 10 Certified Trainer goes beyond simply delivering content; they inspire, empower, and create a lasting connection with their audience. While a good trainer may know the material and present it well, a great trainer personalizes the message, understands the cultural nuances of the Latino community, and ignites action. I love sharing personal stories; you never know who we can relate to, and it's amazing to be able to add value to others.
What sets a great trainer apart is their ability to lead by example—living the principles of the NAHREP 10 and sharing real, personal stories of financial growth, discipline, and entrepreneurship that resonate. I strive to embody that by being relatable, staying accessible to my audience beyond workshops, and consistently applying the NAHREP 10 in my own life. My goal is to make every session not just educational, but transformational.

As the financial needs of the Latino community evolve, how do you adapt your workshops to stay relevant and make the most impact?

Blanca: Staying relevant means staying in tune with the changing financial landscape and the lived experiences of the Latino community. As challenges like rising home prices, student debt, and economic shifts evolve, so must our approach. I make it a priority to continuously update my workshops with current data, trends, and culturally relevant examples and statistics.

I also actively listen to the community through surveys, conversations, and local events to understand their needs and priorities. Whether it’s emphasizing wealth-building strategies like real estate investment, generational planning, or entrepreneurship, I tailor each session to reflect both practical tools and aspirational goals. This ensures that the message educates, truly resonates, and equips our community to thrive financially.

Her story challenges us to think about what makes a truly effective financial educator—not just credentials, but authenticity, relatability, and service. NAHREP’s Certified Trainers are tasked with educating, inspiring, and moving the needle on Latino wealth. Blanca Sepulveda shows us how it’s done.
