Unlock Wealth: Learn to Host on Airbnb with the HWP
A new partnership between the Hispanic Wealth Project (HWP) and homesharing platform Airbnb will open up opportunities for new communities to learn about becoming a Host on Airbnb and building wealth through homeownership, providing entrepreneurship opportunities for Latinos and more.
The partnership is part of the Airbnb Entrepreneurship Academy, which introduces hosting and entrepreneurship to diverse communities across the globe in partnership with local organizations. The Academy connects participants to Airbnb Superhosts and offers information on how they can become entrepreneurs by turning their spare room or property into a source of extra money on Airbnb.
The first joint event of this partnership will be a webinar that will provide attendees insight on how to get started and be successful as a host on Airbnb. “Airbnb Entrepreneurship Academy: Intro to Hosting” will be held virtually on August 24 at 12:00 p.m. PT/3:00 p.m. ET as part of HWP’s Women Building Wealth Webinar series, which is aimed at providing Latinas with insights on how to be financially successful.
“We are so excited to announce this partnership with Airbnb, and know that the information provided in the first webinar, as well as future events, is of great importance to our audience,” said Sara Rodriguez, Hispanic Wealth Project Chairperson. “Becoming a Host on Airbnb is a great way to earn extra money and is becoming increasingly popular across the country as people look for more ways to earn supplemental income.”
